Stephen Michael Sandbothe

Stephen
Michael Sandbothe, 22, son of Nancy and Vincent Sandbothe, Route 2, Neodesha,
and a 1964 graduate of Neodesha High School, died June 18, 1969, at St.
Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL, of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
Steve was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Peoria, IL. He grew up in Neodesha and was working for the Caterpillar Company and attending college in Peoria at the time of his death.
Services were held at St. Ignatious Catholic Church in Neodesha and were officiated by Father William Ryan. Casket bearers were Scott Sprenger, Gary Spires, Jack Buckley, Lloyd Buckley, Mark Dice and Larry Sandbothe. Interment was in the Neodesha Catholic Cemetery.
Steve was survived by his parents of Neodesha; siblings Joe, Mary and Shirley Sandbothe of Neodesha, Sharon Oyler of Coffeyville, KS, and Frank Sandbothe of Goodland, KS.
Steve’s mother is now deceased, and as of 2006, his father was living in Sycamore, KS.
In 2006, Steve’s siblings Joe and Becky Sandbothe lived in Neodesha; Mary and Terry Hugo in Independence; Shirley McPhail in Wichita; Sharon and John Oyler in Coffeyville; and Frank and Sharon Sandbothe in Sherman, TX.
