Deanna Marie (White) Cox
June 17, 1946 - June 14, 2018
Deanna Marie Cox, 71, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Deanna was born June 17, 1946, in Coffeyville to Edwin Leroy White, Sr. and Mildred Marie (Carter) White. The family lived in Neodesha,
Towanda and settled in Coffeyville. After high school she went to Coffeyville Community College where she earned an associates degree.
It was at the college she met Tom Cox and the two
fell in love. They were married Dec. 14, 1968, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville.
The couple had two sons. Deanna worked as a manager for McDonalds, Ampride and Kabredlos.
Deanna was a member of the PTA at Holy Name while the boys were in school. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time at the lake. She was a member of the local women's bowling league for many years. More than anything, she loved the time she spent surrounded by her family and grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Cox, of the home; sons Jim Cox of Tulsa, Okla.; Mike Cox and wife Trish of Coffeyville; daughter-in-law Lynette Wherrell; grandchildren Lauren Harrington and husband Dillon; Tyler Cox; Tandi Cox; Katelyn Cox and fiance Chandler Wallace; Eryn Cox; Zane Cox; great grandsons Bentley Harrington and Brayden Wallace; brothers Tommy White and wife Judy; Danny White and Jim White, all of Coffeyville; and a sister, Kathy Wheaton and husband John of Billings, Mont. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Mildred White, and by her brothers Edwin L. White Jr. and Steven White.
Graveside services were June 20, 2018, at the Veterans Memorial Patio in Coffeyville. Chaplains Keith Springer and Steven Foraker officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville.
