May Elizabeth (Reeve) Bible

May Elizabeth Bible was born to Orville and Osa Reeve on April 17, 1946, in Altoona, KS, at Grandma and Grandpa Reeve’s residence. For a time, she attended Neodesha High School. In November of 1960 she headed to Denver, CO, with her mother, sister Barbara June and brother Everett. Shortly afterward she moved in with sister Lola Faye in Napa, CA. She attended Pacifica Union Academy with Lola Faye and babysat Jeanette and Laurie.
In 1961 brother Ivan graduated from medical school. While there, David (Ivan's son) was
teasing her and accidently dumped a jar of glue in her hair.
She traveled back to Denver, where she attended Littleton (CO) High School. In 1962 she met Melvin Richard Bible and started dating him. On Aug. 28, 1963, she married Mel and finished high school, class of 1964, while Mel went to boot camp in the Army and was stationed in Germany for two years.
In 1976 she started work at Ralph Schomp BMW and worked her way to office manager, retiring in 2012. During her retirement she enjoyed traveling and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and serving the Lord at Ascension Lutheran Church of Littleton, where she frequently volunteered. May was helping with a funeral at Ascension the day she died.
May is survived by children Elizabeth Bible Miller (Stephen) and Richard Bible (Jessica Mondragon); grandchildren Ashley McMacken (Benjamin Martinez), Dustin McMacken (Rachael), Khyanah, Timmathy and Chase Osburn; great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Vincent, Isaiah, Robert, and Abygail; and her siblings, Gaylord Reeve, Barbara Valdez and Everett Reeve. May was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; siblings Ivan, Leo, Lola, Vera, and Viola; and her parents, Orval and Osa Reeve.
Visitation was Aug. 27 at Olinger Crown Hill. Services were Aug. 28 at Ascension Lutheran Church. May was placed in a crypt with her husband at Mt. Lindo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Ascension Lutheran Church in May's memory.
